"Haleila Hazeh" embodies the powerful expression of faith posed by the four famous questions we ask every Pesach.
Beri met Simcha Abramczik for the first time when they performed together at a Purim event in Passaic this year. Beri discovered that Simcha isn’t just a talented musician, but when he performs, he literally becomes the music, the experience. And this is what excited Beri when he suggested a collaboration, which resulted in this truly amazing song!
"Ma Nishtana Haleila Hazeh?"—The song begins with this iconic question from the Pesach Seder, mirroring the trials of the four Galuyot (exiles): Mitzrayim, Yavan, Bavel, and the prolonged darkness of Galut Edom. "Haleila Hazeh" examines the persistent, yet often unseen light within each Galut. The song emphasizes that this Galus is the darkest of them all; in contrast, the night of the Seder everything is clear, and we are just at the peak, right at the break of dawn, symbolizing the bright emergence of redemption that we long for so much. May it be speedily and in our days, Amen!
